| Mailboxes Each swimmer has a folder for a mailbox that we will be using to send home information, ribbons and results. These will be kept in the pool area. It is the responsibility of the swimmer to check their mailbox to see if there is anything to take home. Parents are welcome to come down on deck and check also if they wish. All information such as newsletters, meet notices, etc. Will also be posted on the bulletin board and most likely posted here on the website. |

Have you been on a swim team before but want to find a new team with a different approach to swimming? Just want to do something fun to keep in shape? Swimming the for a high school team and want an organized workout to get back in shape before the season or keep in shape after the season? You should come try out the Mariner swim team. We are a competitive swim team that competes with other YMCA teams throughout the state of Minnesota. We swim in the summer with several local meets. We also swim from September to March with meets here in the twin cities as well as some fun meets in other Minnesota cities (Duluth, Winona, Rochester, etc.). We use the YMCA four core values as our foundation and focus on personal improvement. You may begin with the team anytime throughout the season. |
| Try the team You can try the team for a week free. You need not be a member to try the team. Come to any practice and introduce yourself to a coach. Let them know if you have ever been involved on a swim team before and they can help you get started. |
| Upcoming Events The studio class will change times beginning next week (Feb 10th). It will run from 4:30-5:15 and be a boot camp style class. We will continue to offer the studio through March as long as attendance remains good. March 27th - 28th - Regions Swimmers please remember your member card or photo id to get into the YMCA - the staff at the front desk appreciates this! Dear Parents and Swimmers, Thank you so much for the extremely generous gift cards. We are all trying to figure out the most fun way to use them. Jessy already knows that it will go a LONG way towards new Mickey Mouse stuff. Shelly is browsing the sailing catalogs for new toys for her sailboat. Baby Emma quite possibly will be sporting some cute new summer styles. Jenny might finally start shopping around for a good pair of roller-skates and Curtis is keeping his plans a secret. We truly enjoy working with all of the kids, and are especially looking forward to working with everyone in our new facility. We are busy trying to figure out how we will use all of our new space and equipment. Dryland will be bigger, better, and more exciting than ever. Coach Jessy can’t wait!!!! For those of you that we continue to see at practice – keep up the hard work, you are almost there. For those of you that have moved on to other activities for the spring – keep working hard at whatever you are doing. Cross- training is an excellent thing and will help your swimming as well. Thanks again, The Coaches – Shelly, Jessy, Jenny, Erin & Curtis |
